H.Q. is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by career firefighters. This station houses Rescue 1, Tower 1, Engine 2, Ambulance 1, Ambulance 2, Forestry 1, and Marine 1. This station houses the administrative offices and handles all fire department related permits and residential inspections.

The Station 2 is staffed by career firefighters when manpower allows. Station 2 houses Engine 1, Engine 3, SCUBA 1, and Marine 2. Fire Prevention, the Training Division, and all commercial inspections are handled from this station.

The Auburn Fire Department is proud to own and maintain it's own training/burn tower. The tower is capable of replicating structural fire conditons, and can simulate a multitude of rescue scenarios. As part of the training facility, there is a roof prop as well as a fully functional indoor classroom. The training facility is also located on Dark Brook Resevoir, allowing for a multitude of water rescue scenarios.
